Yesterday we arrived in a luxurious desert tent camp after a speedy jeep ride. Another camel tour, ours was young and a bit nervous 🙂 There was a local band and a dancing performance. After a very cold night in the tents we are now heading to Jodhpur!

After another long drive we reached Jaisalmer within the Tar desert. Here we visited Jaisalmer Fort, old Havelis, a water reservoir… In the afternoon we will ride a camel and watch the sunset in the desert!

After a long drive through Chomu and Fatehpur we finally reached Bikaner where we visited the Junagarh Fort.

Today we were in Jaipur and Amber, the old capital. After an elephant ride we visited the palace in Amber, the observatory and city palace in the evening, now we are having birthday dinner with some of our new friends. Jaipur is a very open city – a must!

This early morning safari took us to some deer, gazelles, king vultures, peacocks and a beautyful jackal! All pics on the real cam only, sorry. Now we are on our way to Jaipur where we will have dinner with our guide’s friend’s family.

Today we were driving south west from Agra to the Ranthambhore Forest, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, a monumental town made of red sandstone, ghosted these days. Then we visited the world’s deepest step well, the Chand Baoli, about 25 meters distance from the normal ground to water level. Nearby is the Harshat Mata temple. Sorry, forgot iPhone pics today 😉

Well, not much to be said about Agra and the famous Taj Mahal.
